CACFP Referral Toolkit

Households with young children experience food insecurity at higher levels than households without children. Your referral connecting childcare organizations to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) can help provide a vital source of support for childcare providers and the families they serve - improving food security, health, child development, and positive learning outcomes. Stakeholders that interact with childcare providers can use this toolkit to learn the fundamentals of CACFP, including what benefits the programs provide, how families can apply, best practices for outreach, and referrals. The toolkit includes access to informational/outreach materials including a flyer, sample emails, and social media graphic.
